Saint Patrick's Day is a religious holiday celebrated internationally on 17 March. It commemorates Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognised of the patron saints of Ireland, and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland.
Irish folklore tells that one of his teaching methods included
using the shamrock to explain the Christian doctrine of the
Trinity to the Irish people.
St.Patrick used the
shamrock,with its
three leaves, to explain the Holy
Trinity (the Father, the Son and
the Holy Spirit)
Leprechauns are little Irish fairies, and they are thought to work as a shoemaker for other fairies.

The best way to celebrate this day is... with a big Pint of Guiness...well..or two!
